Growing Up On Pelee
Join Southpoint Sun Editor Mark Ribble as he talks about growing up inside Point Pelee National Park. You will get to hear his recollections of what life used to be like inside our local National Park that will provide insight to those who may only know what the park has to offer today. From his father’s commercial fishing business to summer visitors, to smelt season and picking beans on the DeLaurier homestead. These stories will paint a picture of the community that resided inside the park during the 1940s, 50s and 60s. Join Mark as he talks about his experiences and of those that came before him. You’ll gain a new appreciation for the life and times of what was referred to as ‘The Pointers.’ Class Size: Max. 95
