Every Picture Tells a Story: Creating a Digital Photo Archive
Historical photographs, baby pictures, vacation snapshots, nature stills: do you have any of these you would like to keep and pass along to family and friends? Are you downsizing and would like to reclaim the space taken up by multiple photo albums? Or is your collection a hopeless mishmash of drawers and boxes of undated and unidentified but still precious memories? If you answered yes to any of these, this course will give you some strategies to convert your photographs to digital format, allowing you to organize, edit, label and securely store your collection. From there you can view and share your photos in various ways. Having access to a desktop or laptop computer is important for anyone who wants to create their own archive. Also, some basic computer skills such as knowing how to create files and save them and knowing how to use a printer/scanner is required. Although you will not be performing any of these steps during the presentation, you will need this general computer knowledge to get the most out of this course and then use what you’ve learned on your own. Class Size: Max. 50
